Fraud and Identity Theft Protection

We care about your identity.

Fraud & ID Theft

Debit Card Fraud Filters

At Members First, the safety of your accounts and your identity are our top priority.  As such, we have enhanced fraud protection in place. Your debit card transactions are monitored in real time and are subject to specialized fraud filters. It is important to remember that you should always take extra care in monitoring your account.

Suspicious Activity

Should you discover any unauthorized transactions or anything that seems suspicious, report them to us immediately. If suspicious debit card transactions are found outside of the credit union's regular business hours, please call the number on the back of your card to contact MasterCard directly. During regular business hours, please contact us.

We work closely with MasterCard to ensure that your debit card is safe from hackers. If activity on your account is deemed potentially fraudulent, you will automatically receive a call from MasterCard alerting you of suspicious activity. You do not need to sign up for this free service.

Identity Theft Alerts

For additional fraud protection, Members First debit cardholders are encouraged to sign up for MasterCard's Identity Theft Alerts at no cost. This free monitoring service uses internet surveillance technology to monitor websites and data for any confidential cardholder information and alerts you if it detects that your personal information is being bought or sold online. The personal information that it monitors is selected by you during the enrollment process. This can include financial institution accounts, credit and debit cards, social security number, driver's license, passport and email accounts.

To enroll, visit the MasterCard website, enter the first 6 digits of your MasterCard debit card number, and select the types of personal information you would like to have monitored. The more options you select, the more effective this service will be.
