How Members First Credit Union Invests in Our Community

Illuminating Change is Members First Credit Union’s signature community impact program, bringing visibility, resources, and meaningful support to the people and organizations strengthening New Hampshire.

Through a thoughtful, transparent structure, Illuminating Change highlights deep partnerships, monthly community features, and ongoing charitable support. Together, these efforts reflect our belief that when communities thrive, everyone moves forward.

Our Mission

Illuminating Change exists to uplift local nonprofits and community organizations  by pairing financial support with storytelling, visibility, and long-term partnership.

This program is how Members First brings its cooperative values to life: by investing in causes that create lasting impact and by celebrating the people doing important work every day.

 

How Illuminating Change Works

Illuminating Change is structured around three levels of community partnership, each designed to support organizations in meaningful and visible ways throughout the year.

Spotlight Partners represent the deepest level of partnership within Illuminating Change. These organizations receive focused, quarter-long visibility and engagement across Members First channels.

Elements of a Spotlight Partnership include:

• A featured story or article highlighting the organization’s mission and impact
• Ongoing promotion across Members First digital channels throughout the quarter
• In-branch visibility to help raise awareness within the local community
• Collaborative opportunities that support fundraising, education, or outreach efforts

Spotlight Partners are selected based on alignment, community need, and the opportunity to create meaningful, measurable impact together.

Spotlight Partners are highlighted quarterly and serve as cornerstone partners within the Illuminating Change program.

Beacon Partners are featured monthly and help illuminate the many organizations making a difference across our region.

Elements of a Beacon Partnership include:

• A monthly feature introducing the organization and its work
• Digital and social visibility through Members First platforms
• Opportunities for community awareness and engagement

Beacon Partners reflect the breadth of causes Members First supports and allow us to spotlight new stories each month while maintaining a consistent commitment to community giving.

Ember’s Network represents all other charitable contributions and community support provided throughout the year, including:

• Event sponsorships
• One-time donations
• Community initiatives and nonprofit support not tied to monthly or quarterly features

Ember’s Network is intentionally inclusive and celebratory, recognizing that meaningful impact happens at every level, not just through formal features.
