Privacy & Security

Your privacy and online security are of utmost importance to us.

Privacy Policy

Financial companies choose how they share your personal information. Federal law gives consumers the right to limit some but not all sharing. Federal law also requires us to tell you how we collect, share, and protect your personal information.

Our Privacy Policy is reviewed annually and posted here at all times. Please read it carefully to understand how we protect your privacy.

Information We Collect About You

Members First collects the following information about you from a variety of sources:

  • From membership and loan applications and other forms that you submit to us, we obtain information such as name, address, social security number, employer and income
  • From your transactions with us, we obtain information such as account balances and histories
  • From outside parties, such as consumer reporting agencies, we obtain information such as credit history and credit worthiness

Information We Disclose About You

We may disclose all of the information that we collect to companies that perform marketing or other services on our behalf, to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements, or otherwise as permitted or required by law. We disclose only the necessary information to affect a particular transaction, protect the records of the credit union, or market a certain product. Under no circumstance will Members First provide any information that will allow access to your account(s) without your express consent.

Members First does not share personal information with other businesses about our former members, co-borrowers, guarantors, or occasional users of credit union services who are not members, unless permitted by law (i.e. subpoena). To protect our members' privacy, Members First will only work with companies that agree to maintain strong confidentiality protections. Further, we do not permit these companies to sell the information we provide to other third parties.

How We Protect Your Information

We restrict information about you to those employees who need to know the information to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your personal financial information.

We want to bring to your attention that there may be instances where you erroneously believe the credit union has released personal information about you. For example, information about a secured loan you have from Members First Credit Union may be publicly available in local government records, and a business has compiled this information in order to market to you a product this credit union does not endorse.

As a member of this credit union, we remind you that you have a responsibility to safeguard your financial information by protecting your identification access numbers and reviewing our periodic account statements. If you have any concerns about the accuracy or security of the information you have entrusted to Members First, please contact us.

Any and all information collected on this site is kept strictly confidential and will not be resold, reused, rented, loaned or otherwise disclosed to third parties, unless required by law. Any information you supply to us will be used with the utmost care and will not be used in ways not consented by you.

A more detailed description on how we safeguard your personal information can be found below.
