The MasterCard® Automatic Billing Updater provides you with a seamless transition when your debit card expires or is replaced.
This free service will automatically update the card number and/or expiration date on file if you have recurring payments or account-on-file transactions set up using your debit card. Any of your merchants that participate in this program will automatically receive your updated debit card information.
Payments Impacted
These are just some examples of recurring and account-on-file transactions you may have set up using your debit card for payment:
- Streaming services
- Monthly utilities
- Gym memberships
- Insurance premiums
- Ride services
- Shopping websites
- Online payment services
- Prescriptions
What This Means to You
When your card expires or is re-issued for any reason such as normal expiration, loss, theft, or compromise, you won’t have to update your payment information with participating merchants. Instead, you can:
- Skip the time and hassle of re-entering or resubmitting your payment info
- Avoid declined payments and service interruptions
- Count on us to keep your card information secure
What You Need to Do
There is no action required on your part to activate the automatic billing updater. You are automatically enrolled simply for being a MasterCard® debit card holder with Members First Credit Union. Please be aware, however, that neither MasterCard® nor Members First can guarantee that updates will be communicated to merchants prior to your next billing date.
If you wish to opt-out of this service, you may do so by calling us at 1-800-860-3832. If you opt-out of this automatic update, you will need to manually update your auto-charge merchants whenever you receive an updated MasterCard® debit card.
