As we conclude our August Spotlight on Girls at Work, Inc., we invite you to explore the various ways you can get involved and make a difference. Donations play a crucial role in supporting the organization’s mission, helping to fund programs that empower young girls with essential skills and confidence. Monetary donations directly support educational initiatives, purchase necessary tools and materials, and provide scholarships for girls who might not otherwise afford to participate.

Why Giving Matters
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Girls at Work, Inc. is supported by a diverse range of funding sources, including individual donors, corporate partners, fundraising events, and grants. The organization relies on this generosity to meet its annual budget and to continue empowering girls from underserved communities. As their fiscal year (FY ’25) just began on July 1st, now is an excellent time to contribute and help them maintain financial sustainability.
Supporting Girls at Work is a direct investment in the future of girls and the strength of our communities. Did you know that empowering girls at a young age not only benefits them individually but also builds stronger, healthier communities? Investing in programs like those at Girls at Work is one of the smartest things we can do to promote societal well-being. For example, it’s crucial to start building critical skills with girls at age 8 rather than waiting until they are older.
Moreover, the New Hampshire Women’s Foundation’s recent report highlights the severe impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on youth, especially girls. Disruptions in education and social opportunities have significantly affected mental health, with girls being twice as likely as boys to suffer from poor mental health, depression, and self-harm. With 95% of Girls at Work participants requiring scholarship funding, your donation is essential to ensuring these girls have access to life-changing programs.
