Introducing Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Hampshire

February’s Spotlight Nonprofit is Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Hampshire, an organization dedicated to their mission to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth with a vision for all youth to achieve their full potential.

Knowing that each mentoring match is unique, BBBSNH focuses on offering flexible mentoring options. Some meet together at the same time every other week and some meet at school or maybe at a playground. The organization does the work of recruiting mentors, interviewing, screening, and training mentors, as well as pairing compatible matches based on similar interests and location.

There is never a fee for families or youth to participate in Big Brothers Big Sisters programs. BBBSNH raises all funds needed to support each mentoring match throughout the duration of the match, including the costs of coaching and training.  They are tremendously grateful to the volunteers, donors, and sponsors who support their mission.

In closing, we share this message from BBBSNH CEO Stacy Kramer:

Every child deserves someone in their corner. Plain and simple, because that is the single, most important thing to a child achieving their greatest potential. How great is it that Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Hampshire (BBBSNH) does just that – creates and supports mentoring relationships for all youth that need one? For over 56 years, BBBSNH has made thousands and thousands of mentoring relationships and monitored them for the best positive outcomes for youth in the Granite State.

We look forward to sharing more about Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Hampshire throughout the month of February.
