Spotlight Nonprofit: Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Manchester

A Legacy of Empowering Youth

For over a century, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Manchester (BGCGM) has been transforming lives by providing a safe, supportive environment where kids can learn, grow, and succeed. As one of the 53 founding organizations of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, BGCGM has remained committed to ensuring that all young people—especially those who need them most—realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring individuals.

Impact That Matters

Operating across five locations—the Union Street Clubhouse, Highland-Goffe’s Falls, Jewett Street, Gossler Park Elementary Schools, and Camp Foster in Bedford—BGCGM removes barriers to membership and opens doors to new opportunities. Their programs provide:

  • After-School & Before-School Care: Offering structured activities, academic support, athletics, and transportation to and from school.
  • School-Based Programs: Bringing enriching activities directly to local elementary schools.
  • Vacation & Summer Camps: Full-day camps with hands-on learning, leadership-building, and outdoor fun.

Making a Difference in the Community

From academic support to leadership programs and STEAM activities, BGCGM is more than just an after-school club—it’s a lifeline for local youth. By providing a positive space for kids to explore their interests, build friendships, and develop essential life skills, BGCGM helps shape confident, capable young leaders.
